Tin as an Effective Doping Agent into ZnO for the Improved Photodegradation of Rhodamine B

We have fabricated ZnO nano rods by hydrothermal method and successively doped them with tin (Sn) using different concentrations of 25, 50, 75 100 mg chloride. XRD the structures showed that possess hexagonal wurtzite phase. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to explore morphology it shows nanorod like for all samples no considerable change in structural features were found. The dimension is 200 300 nm. materials then investigated their photo catalytic degradation environmental pollutant Rhodamine B. performance compared pristine ZnO. Photo activity rhodamine B under UV light a maximum efficiency 85% obtained. optical property reveals reduction band gap upto 17.14% Sn followed pseudo order kinetics. produced results are unique terms facile synthesis excellent efficiency, therefore these can be other applications.
